FIRST TEE – MINNESOTA ELECTS ITS FIRST WOMAN BOARD CHAIR

Nonprofit youth development program elects Kady Stoll, Vice President of Global Partnerships at 3M

Minneapolis (Feb. 17, 2025): First Tee — Minnesota, a youth development organization that teaches life skills and helps kids and teens build their strength of character through golf, today announced that Kady Stoll, Vice President of Global Partnerships at 3M, has been elected Board Chair, the first woman to hold the role.

“I am honored to be elected as the first female Board Chair of First Tee-Minnesota,” said Stoll. “Under the exceptional leadership of Jeremy Diebling the organization has flourished and is well-positioned for continued success. I am excited to build on this strong foundation and help advance our mission to reach even more young people across Minnesota. First Tee is transforming lives both on and off the course, and I’m proud to be part of this impactful journey.”

For the past 10 years, Jeremy Diebling, Partner at PwC, has served as board chair, helping to steer the chapter through a series of mergers and unifying five Minnesota-based chapters into First Tee – Minnesota. Diebling will continue to serve on the Board of First Tee.

“Golf has had such an impact on my life and the opportunity to serve as the Board Chair for First Tee of Minnesota is one of my greatest highlights,” said Jeremy Diebling. “The organization continues to positively impact young people in our community and I am incredibly honored to transition my leadership role to Kady Stoll. Her passion for golf and youth development will ensure that, across the state of Minnesota, our youth will have even more opportunities to build the strength of their character through the challenges of the game of golf.”

“We are so thankful for the work Jeremy has done for youth golf in Minnesota,” said Jim Triggs, CEO, First Tee-Minnesota. “For the past decade, his leadership and strategic vision have had a tremendous impact. We are thrilled to welcome Kady Stoll. She has already been a great partner to First Tee – Minnesota and is fully committed to our vision of serving youth throughout Minnesota.”

Hazeltine National Golf Club Supports First Tee – Minnesota

On August 19, 2024—Championship Sunday of the U.S. Amateur—Hazeltine National Golf Club presented a check for $25,000 to First Tee – Minnesota. Joining in the celebration was NFL Hall of Famer, Larry Fitzgerald, Jr., USGA President, Fred Perpall, Hazeltine National’s board chairperson, Dan Mulhern, and Hazeltine’s general manager, Phil Anderson.

The presentation took place after 36 First Tee golfers—from a wide range of First Tee–Minnesota locations—participated in a 9-hole scramble at The Loop, the Barrier Free Golf Course located in Chaska, Minnesota.

Jim Triggs, CEO of First Tee – Minnesota, said, “We are so grateful to Hazeltine. This generous gift is a game changer because it helps our program directors and coaches reach more kids in Minnesota through our golf and life skill programs.”

The morning’s festivities also included an 18-hole putting contest; the chance for some First Tee golfers to compete on the putting course with Larry Fitzgerald; a great lunch served by Fireman BBQ, and free admission to the U.S. Amateur for parents in attendance.

Supporting the Seiwert Family

Brian Seiwert was a long time Minnesota PGA Golf Professional, Head Professional at Burl Oaks GC and friend of First Tee – Minnesota. His passion for family, community and the great game of golf was a blessing for so many. Sadly, over the past few years, Brian battled Non-Small Cell Metastatic Lung Cancer and passed in November. If you would like to support Brian’s family, please visit the GoFundMe page.

We would like to thank all the courses listed below that took part in the Oct 15/16 Fundraiser. We raised $5000 for the Seiwert Family. (That’s 100% of all the tee-times)
