A big thank you! We truly appreciate your interest in becoming a volunteer with First Tee- Minnesota. Your willingness to inspire, guide, and generously give your time to help our mission means so much to our First Tee chapter.
At First Tee – Minnesota, our volunteers play a vital role in positively impacting and empowering kids in our community. We offer long term and short term commitments for interested volunteers.
As we pilot our volunteer program, we have two main areas of need:
Volunteer Coaches: In this role, you will assist our coaches as they lead class, and offer support to the kids taking the class. This could be an ongoing role or a periodic role, as we will be looking for two types of volunteer coaches:
- Option One: We need volunteer coaches who can assist with a specific clinic for a set period of time. For example, every Sunday afternoon for a month, or Tuesday/Thursday evening for two weeks.
- Option Two: We can add your name to a pool of substitute volunteer coaches who—when available—can fill in when we learn a regular coach is on vacation, or out sick, etc.
Event Volunteers: We have ongoing events throughout the year where volunteers are a huge help! The 3M Open in July is a good example, but we have others May through September.
Our need for volunteers is primarily in the summer months. If you reach out in the fall and winter we will add you to our list to be contacted in early spring!
