First Tee – Minnesota at Highland National Golf Course

At First Tee – Minnesota, we’re focused on building character through golf!

We provide a safe, welcoming space where kids and teens can come as they are, have fun, learn the game, and build valuable life skills. Our location at Highland National Golf Course offers a variety of programs for youth ages 4–17, with opportunities for all ages and skill levels. No golf experience is necessary, and equipment is always provided! Financial aid is also available for every session.

From April through September, we offer outdoor lessons, leagues, camps, and LPGA courses for ages 4–17. Winter indoor classes will be available after the holidays.

Registration for Spring 2027 programs will open in February 2027. Winter lesson registration will open later this fall.

Most classes are held at the First Tee Learning Center, located near the driving range at Highland National Golf Course:
1403 Montreal Avenue, St. Paul, MN

A few leagues will meet at the nine-hole Highland 9 Golf Course:
1797 Edgcumbe Road, St. Paul, MN

Financial Aid Instructions

We are committed to making sure no child is turned away due to financial reasons. To apply for financial aid, please follow the steps below.

Applying for Financial Assistance is now part of our online registration process. If you would like a video tutorial, please click here.

Step 1: Register your child/children for the desired class by adding the selection to the cart.

Step 2: Proceed to checkout.

Step 3: Continue the registration by completing information and answering questions. When you get to the Financial Aid Page, please (x) click that you would like to apply. Answer the questions and click continue. You have the option to ask for partial or full aid for the classes in your cart.

Step 4: Proceed to checkout and click submit. Upon applying, your application will be reviewed by First Tee – Minnesota.

Step 5: Upon determination, you will receive an email with directions to complete your registration from [email protected], just like you do for completion of registration from our mass system. For a number of people, these e-mails are lost in spam. Please be on the lookout after submitting your documents. You will have 48 hours to complete your registration once approval has been given.  Failure to complete your registration in 48 hours will result in your cart being abandoned, meaning your child will have lost their place in the class.

If you have any questions about financial aid, please email [email protected]!

First Tee – Minnesota’s ability to provide financial assistance is supported by the Minnesota Golf License Plate Grant, a partnership between the Minnesota PGA Foundation and the Minnesota Golf Association.
